“GLOBAL’s” Inspection equipment at the Air Freight, Kuwait International Airport and Saad Al-Abdullah Airport contribute to foiling attempts at smuggling huge quantities of narcotics
The sophisticated equipment Global Clearing House Systems Company has supplied to the various air customs stations at Kuwait International Airport, Saad Al-Abdullah Airport and the Air Freight Division as well as the Abdali and Nuwaiseeb border stations have played a key role in foiling numerous attempts at smuggling narcotic materials. The auxiliary devices have indeed contributed to alerting Customs by signaling inspectors to the existence of narcotic materials in the baggage of a number of passengers. At Saad Al-Abdullah Airport, 14 kg of marijuana were seized, and 4 days later, around 8,000 drug tablets were seized at the same airport, while at Hitteen Customs, the devices alerted customs to the existence of bodies inside children’s toys. These turned out to be 3,000 tablets of narcotics. At the Abdali Customs, the devices detected something amiss with a tire driven by a Kuwaiti national from Iraq, and alerted the Customs inspector who found that it was an attempt at smuggling 150,000 Capti tablets. Last November the state-of-the-art sophisticated equipment played a key role in discovering an attempt to smuggle various types of narcotic materials. Similar instances were registered at Kuwait International Airport, as well.
